Junior Infants: Local History Tour & Fire Station
4th Jun 2026
Exploring Our Local Area
Junior Infants had a fantastic day exploring our local area during a visit to Scragh Bog and the Fire Station. At Scragh Bog, the children learned about the plants, wildlife and history of this unique habitat, while developing their observation skills through hands-on exploration. At the Fire Station, they learned about fire safety, the role of firefighters and the importance of helping others in our community.
The trip provided a valuable opportunity to bring our SESE learning to life and helped the children develop a greater appreciation for the people, places and natural environments around them.
