Bee Talk in Second Class

8th Mar 2023

The children in Second Class have studied Global Warming. In these lessons they looked at the honeybee and how important it is to protect them and help them in their work. The child enjoyed a talk from a local bee keeper. She brought in her resources- honeycomb dried and fresh, a smoker and her protective suits She had knitted bees to explain the work of the queen bee, worker bee and the drone bee in the hive.

Everyone really enjoyed it. Thank you Tia!
