Active School Flag Awarded!

6th Dec 2021

We are delighted to announce that we have recently achieved our first Active School Flag. An Active School is a school where physical activity is valued, promoted and enjoyed by all. We have worked very hard over the past number of years in order to become an Active School. Our aim has been to promote physical activity in a FUN, positive and inclusive way. We have taken part in many initiatives such as "Active Break Everyday", "Run Around Ireland", "The Daily Mile", "Skip n Rope" and our annual "Active Schools Week". Our "Active Walkway" has proved to be very popular and gets daily use, along with our astro turf. We strive to integrate PE with other curricular subjects where possible and physical activity has become an integral part of everyday life here in St. Cremin's. We have thoroughly enjoyed partaking in the Active Schools Programme and the many benefits of becoming a more active school. We look forward to continuing our Active School journey this year.
