🌟 Awesome April in Junior Infants 🌟

🌼 April in Junior Infants 🌼

April has been another busy and exciting month in Junior Infants!

We had a fantastic trip to the Mullingar Arts Centre where we enjoyed Teddy’s Adventure on the Farm. The children were fully engaged throughout and it was a lovely opportunity to learn through storytelling and performance.

We were also delighted to begin dance lessons with Miss Leanne. The children are currently learning a routine to Golden from K-pop, and they are working so hard practising their moves. We are very excited to share their performance with you in May!

In Maths, we have been learning all about money, exploring coins and their values through lots of fun, hands-on activities. The classroom was full of busy shopkeepers as the children took part in role-play, buying and selling items and using real-life language linked to money.

In SESE, we explored the topics of rainbows and astronauts, sparking lots of curiosity and discussion about the world around us and beyond. The children loved learning about space and and the colours of the rainbow.

Our Art lessons were inspired by the work of Steven Brown, and the children created their own colourful McCoos. Each piece was full of personality and creativity!

Alongside all of this, the children continue to learn and grow through play-based activities, developing their social skills, imagination, and independence every day.
